Using design to make a difference in Philadelphia.
This is one of my favorite samples of work. The founder of Hand2Paw approached me with a very fulfilling project: Design and develop a ground-breaking website for the Hand2Paw Foundation. The Hand2Paw Foundation has helped social service agencies and animal shelters develop programming for dozens of homeless youth in Philadelphia since 2009. Since I launched their new site in the Fall of 2011, they have increased awareness and contributions significantly.
This was a full redevelopment of Hand2Paw’s online presence. Building the design and information architecture from the ground-up, I worked closely with Hand2Paw to develop a compelling website.
The site uses custom content fields throughout to ensure that the design can never be broken from adding content. A truly amazing experience for any content manager.
“Our organization hired Matt to completely revamp our site – To say that Matt succeeded in this mission is quite the understatement. He is extremely accessible and customer service oriented. He was amazingly organized and so friendly from day one, answering all of my questions in a way that was reassuring and easy to understand. We spoke many times through all sorts of communication and he was basically always available to answer my questions.
Matt thoroughly impressed me both with his artistic skills, but also his seemingly limitless knowledge of all of the different widgets and apps and plug ins that you need to build a professional website. One thing that makes Matt extremely unique is that he proactively used his knowledge of our organization and our objectives to design pages that tell the narrative of Hand2Paw in an extremely accessible way.
We have received amazing praise on our new website from our fans and donors – and thus, I am extremely pleased with Matt’s work.”
