Website design and development for The Hand2Paw Foundation in Philadelphia.
“My name is Rachel Cohen and I am the CEO of The Hand2Paw Foundation (www.hand2paw.org), a nonprofit in Philadelphia that works with homeless teens and shelter animals. Our organization hired Matt to completely revamp our site – I wanted to add a bright, professional feel to our page that would showcase our efforts through beautiful imagery and identifiable branding.- Rachel, Founder of The Hand2Paw Foundation
To say that Matt succeeded in this mission is quite the understatement. I interviewed several designers for the position and several things about Matt impressed me from the start. First, he is extremely accessible and customer service oriented. He was amazingly organized and so friendly from day one, answering all of my questions in a way that was reassuring and easy to understand. The projects he showcases on his site are truly indicative of his skill, and he even arranged for me to speak with other CEOs that he had worked with, who enthusiastically sung his praises as a designer. One thing I also appreciated is that Matt was available by phone, email, and through the “Base Camp” application that he used to collect all of the text, imagery, information, and necessary codes to build our website. We spoke many times through all sorts of communication and he was basically always available to answer my questions.
Matt thoroughly impressed me both with his artistic skills, but also his seemingly limitless knowledge of all of the different widgets and apps and plug ins that you need to build a professional website. One thing that makes Matt extremely unique is that he proactively used his knowledge of our organization and our objectives to design pages that tell the narrative of Hand2Paw in an extremely accessible way. When you visit our page now, you “get it” right away, and your mouse intuitively moves around our site in a way that quickly tells you the story of our efforts in a comprehensive, friendly, approachable way.
We have received amazing praise on our new website from our fans and donors – and thus, I am extremely pleased with Matt’s work. I’d hire him again in an instant. Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions about Matt and his work for Hand2Paw.”
